Director of Product Development

Hydronovation Inc., a venture backed Water Treatment Company located in San Francisco Bay area is searching for a Director of Product Development.  In collaboration with partner OEM’s, the Director will manage the development of Electrochemical based water systems for residential and commercial applications. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in product development in water treatment field with successful introduction of multiple products in this marketplace. Candidates from experience in other fields will be considered if they meet most of the requirements described below.

Job description and qualifications:

• BS/MS in engineering discipline
• 10 + years industrial experience preferably in water treatment field
• Demonstrated success in product development of electromechanical system including successful product launch
• Experience with molded and extruded plastic components highly desirable
• Ability to manage  design, electrical engineers and technicians is essential
• Must have experience in using management tools to take products from inception to market introduction
• Position requires excellent communications skills at all levels and ability to coach and mentor others in the organization
• Must have demonstrated capability in team building and to be a team player
• Must have ability to resolve complex and multi faceted problems in a fast paced environment
• Must be results and quality orientated with focus on customer needs
