Product Design Engineer

HydroNovation Inc., a venture backed Water Treatment Company located in San Francisco Bay area is searching for an experienced Product Design Engineer for design of water systems for the residential and commercial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong design capabilities for the design of plate and frame type cell devices using extruded and molded plastics. Experience with rapid assembly of cells using adhesives is highly desirable. Additionally the design engineer should have knowledge of designing electromechanical systems containing pumps, valves, tanks and microprocessor controllers.

Job description and qualifications:

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering
• 10+ years Mechanical Engineering and Product Design Experience
• Proficiency with Solid Works
• Solid experience bringing product to market from design concepts to introduction to marketplace in the consumer market
• Strong communications skills with ability to communicate conceptual ideas both verbally and through simple sketches
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with customers and vendors
