Superior beverages, both hot or cold require superior water. Today treated beverage water is generally free of unpleasant color, taste and odors by various filtration technologies. However, for specific beverage quality requirements, the water must also meet demanding mineral content specifications. The HydroNovation ElectroConditioner module is a reliable, simple, low cost addition to any beverage filtration system that can provide water with a precise mineral content and alkalinity control.

Current Mineral Control Practices

Today the primary method of mineral control for water is Reverse Osmosis. Water treated by Reverse Osmosis is generally too “pure” (i.e., lacking in minerals) for most beverages. As a result beverage water treatment systems use various storage and blending operations to deliver water with the appropriate mineral content.

HydroNovation ElectroConditioner Module

The patented HydroNovation technology controls the mineral content of water by the same technology Siemens uses industrially for high purity pharmaceutical and beverage production. Using membranes and a low voltage electric field, minerals are removed from water to whatever level is desired. The control feature of the technology allows the customer to set the output alkalinity or TDS regardless of the quality of incoming feed water.

HydroNovation Features and Benefits

The HydroNovation ElectroConditioner module is compact and easily adapted to any filtration system. It operates for up to two years without the need for replacement. The adjustable controls operate automatically once a preferred mineral content is programmed. Since the module is hot water sanitizable, there is no need for periodic treatment with hazardous chemicals. Unlike a Reverse Osmosis unit, water waste is minimal.
